I went to see this with Heather because she really wanted to see this exhibition.
The emotion that has been made through otu all these artworks really shows throught the drawings, painting ect you can actually feel the loss that someone has experienced and the love someone is feeling.
I did have a favourite piece but unfortunatley i didnt grab the name of the art piece and i cannot find it anywhere online :(

CLOTHES OF THE GODS.
My actual favourite piece was this kylie minogue one sleeved outfit.
it reminded me of her film clip " outta my head" crossed with a greek goddess.
I love it!

THE LIGHT IN WINTER.
this was amazing! after we came out of the tim burton interview we saw this big red ball of light in the sky. It was our sun, in the middle of winter, at night.
we took many photos of the sun.
SCREEN WORLDS.
link: http://www.acmi.net.au/screen_worlds.aspx
"Our stunning permanent exhibition will change the way you think about the most pervasive and powerful cultural forms of our time. With an ambitious scope unlike any other exhibition in the world, Screen Worlds brings together rarely-seen footage, fascinating objects and interactive displays.
From gems of early film to unforgettable TV moments and the latest in digital lifestyle, the exhibition spans the diversity of entertainment and creativity that makes the moving image such a dominant cultural force.
Follow the development of the moving image, and discover the significant contribution of Australians to its story. Engage with spectacular interactive exhibits. Play classic and contemporary videogames. Celebrate the lives of prominent personalities and see their treasures."
i went to this exhibition 3 times because i liked it so much.
looking back on the old film projectors and tv even the old nintendo games and controls with the first computer. they had the actual toys from playschool along with the rocket clock which brought back so many memories of my childhood and how much i enjoyed the past.
they had this amazing room filled with smoke and little lazers that changed to create a wonderful room of some sort of climax moment.
Technology is changing everyday and were either going to have to keep up or give up.

FLINDERS LANE GALLERY.
when we knew we had to see as many exhibitions/galleries/museums as we could heather, hannah and i went walking out to see whatever galleries we could find. we came across Flinders Lane Gallery.
Personally, i didn't like it, there wasnt many inspirational artworks there, and i didnt really have a connection with any of them. i appreciate the artists and their work but it really wasnt for me.

MICHAELS CAMERA MUSEUM.
Link: http://www.michaels.com.au/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=48&Itemid=57
Experience a unique journey through time, with an inspiring self tour of michaels world-famous camera museum! Cameras and photographic equipment have been part of the Michaels family business since 1928. At that time, michaels was primarily a pharmacy combined with a small range of photograp hic equipment.
The camera collection began in a modest way during the 1950's. michaels began operating as a specialty camera store in 1975.Due to the imposed import restrictions following World War II, the number of cameras obtainable for resale were severely limited.
I went to this museum with heather before we saw the southern skies gallery.
I was in such awe lookign at all the types of cameras, flashes and light meter readers from years and years ago.
i loved the look of all of them and wanted them all for my own collection. that day i told myself i want to start collecting cameras of all sorts from all ages. and wanted to have my own petrie camera because i liked the name. the next day i found two petries sitting in an old dusty box in an opshop. They're now mine.

CLOSE- PIC 3rd YEAR
this exhibition was at PIC itself with all the 3rd year artworks placed all around the school. i cannot find any other artworks online to show viewers but i can recall on one piece which was set up in our common room at PIC where a window with laced curtains was situated on the wall with a projector facing towards it on the other side of the room. i never ever saw it work but i can imagine certain images in my head that would suit the window whether it was a peeping tom to a backyard scene with children playing. either way privicy seems to be the main thing in my head.
THE SOUTHERN SKIES.

Michaels Camera Store in Melbourne are hosting an exhibition of astrophotography images taken by members of the Astronomical Society of Victoria. The exhibition will be on in the upstairs gallery at Michaels Camera Store, corner of Elizabeth and Lonsdale Streets in Melbourne.
UTOPIA.
http://www.carriageworks.com.au/?page=Event&event=Experimenta-Utopia-Now
Daring and double daring you to take on the fate of the world, Experimenta Utopia Now reveals the flaws in our drive to engineer a perfect world. Lead a chorus of interactive singing plants, spear your supper and photocopy your form; take sides as Australian and international artists unite and fall out over the future survival of the planet.
Showcasing 25 works, many interactive, from countries including Australia, China, Austria, Germany, Canada, France, Taiwan and the UK ‐ Experimenta Utopia Now critiques the scope for happiness on earth as we know it, pokes fun at social and physical boundaries and questions the human race’s ability to preserve itself.
i enjoyed this full body scan. it made me feel like i was a kid again who was up to no good and scanning myself when i should be doing something better with my time.
this part of the exhibition was not working but it looks amazing to try out and see what age will do to you later on in life.
I liked this part of the exhibition how your silouette was getting linked by all sorts of trash that came down from the sky and stuck to you no matter how hard you try to brush it off. it felt like a nightmare where nothign can be controlled.
these noisey plants were very entertaining. touch one, birds would sing. Another and you would hear the ocean its quite surreal.

NGV European MastersStädel Museum, 19th–20th Century
Link : http://www.ngv.vic.gov.au/whats-on/exhibitions/exhibitions/melbourne-winter-masterpieces-2010
"European Masters: Städel Museum, 19th–20th Century brings together a remarkable collection of masterpieces from the Städel Museum in Frankfurt, one of the finest collections in Europe. The NGV is truly privileged to host this exhibition, as the Städel have committed only the highlights of its renowned collection of 19th and 20th century European art. Alongside masterpieces by German artists are works by the greatest French, Belgian, Dutch and Swiss masters of the time. Included are iconic Neo-Classical, Realist, Impressionist and Symbolist works, through to breathtaking German Expressionist paintings and sculpture, rarely seen in Australia."
I dont really go and admire paintings that much but the colours and brush strokes you could see so clearly you could tell if they were hard or soft strokes. i especially like the artwork (i forgot the title) where there are two ladies and a gentlemen at a tea party.
my eyes always wonder back to the lady in white.

NGV " TIMELINE PHOTOGRAPHY AND TIME"
LINK: http://www.ngv.vic.gov.au/whats-on/exhibitions/exhibitions/timelines
"In this exhibition one aspect of time is considered from a photographic perspective: namely, human life. Works have been selected from the permanent collection both by International and Australian photographers that show an interest in some aspect of lifecycles. Arranged, in part, in a ‘timeline’, these works provoke our understanding of the mediums capacity to suggest the concept of time in ways that may be surprising, moving or even confronting. The exhibition also looks at how photographers have extended a sense of time and duration through images that work in series. Photographers include: Imogen Cunningham, Edward Weston, Bill Brandt, Ruth Maddison, Rod McNicol and Rosemary Laing."
I really enjoyed seeing timeline. how it shows how deticated a photographer can wait so long to shoot the same people ver a period of time. i especially liked how the photographer captured this one man years ago and has died but yet captured the same wall he photographed that man back in the day showign viewers he has died.

Dylan Moran.
One of the best comedians I've ever watched on my couch for hours and hours, and i dont do that THAT much.
He takes my mind off so much stuff especially when it comes to homework to give me a break, he's bad like that :)
Can't wait until he comes back to Australia.
